Bathrooms built for valley homes

Moe Bathroom Renovations designs and builds bathrooms, ensuites and laundries for households in Moe 3825 and the towns around it: Newborough, Yallourn North, Moe South, Trafalgar, Yarragon, Morwell, Narracan, Willow Grove, Hill End, Thorpdale, Tanjil South, Westbury and Erica.

Much of Moe and Newborough was built in the decades after the war, when the power industry brought thousands of families to the valley. Those weatherboard, fibro and brick veneer homes on timber stumps sit alongside newer slab-floored houses in growing estates, and rural properties in the hills rely on tank water and septic systems. A narrow post-war bathroom with a bath across the end and a new-estate ensuite need very different thinking, and we plan each one on its own terms.

Our principles

Design first

A bathroom should suit the people who use it. We start with how your household moves through the day, then shape the layout, storage, lighting and finishes around that. Drawings and selections are settled before anything is removed.

Waterproofing to AS 3740

Membranes are installed to AS 3740, with correct falls, bond breakers, puddle flanges and sealed penetrations. Each stage is photographed before it is covered, and those records are handed to you at the end.

Licensed and insured

Our team is licensed and insured, and plumbing and electrical work is completed by licensed trades who supply compliance certificates where required.

Structure before surfaces

In older valley homes, floors, framing and stumps often need attention after decades of damp. We repair them properly rather than tiling over problems.

Clear communication

You will know what is happening each week, who is on site and what decisions are coming up. Changes are confirmed in writing.

Care for your home

We protect floors, entries and paths, manage dust and leave the site tidy each day, because most clients live at home throughout the work.

How we work

1. Design consultation in your home: measuring, inspecting structure and services, and discussing your goals.

2. Design and written scope, including layout, selections and a detailed quotation.

3. Ordering and scheduling, so materials arrive before they are needed.

4. Construction, from strip-out and structural repairs to waterproofing, tiling and fit-off.

5. Handover, with a walk-through, care guidance, warranties and compliance documents.
